Industrial promises a slice of home amidst the bustling Pune, and for the most part, it delivers. Stepping inside feels like entering a warm embrace, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee mingling with the savory scent of familiar Indian snacks. This small caffe has carved a niche for itself by offering a comforting menu featuring beloved dishes like pohe, sabudana wada, samosa, and wada paw, making it a tempting stop for a quick bite or a leisurely chat. However, like any establishment, it has its strengths and areas where it could further enhance the customer experience. On the positive side, Indorilal truly shines in its commitment to authentic flavors. The pohe, a staple Maharashtrian breakfast, is light, fluffy, and perfectly seasoned with mustard seeds, curry leaves, and a hint of sweetness. Each bite evokes a sense of nostalgia, reminiscent of home-cooked meals. Similarly, the sabudana wada boasts a delightful crisp exterior giving way to a soft, melt-in-your-mouth interior, the subtle sweetness of the sago pearls balanced beautifully with the spice of green chilies and coriander. The samosas are another highlight, their golden-brown crust encasing a flavorful and generously spiced potato filling. These are the kind of snacks that leave you feeling satisfied and content, a testament to the quality of ingredients and the care taken in their preparation. Furthermore, the affordability of these dishes is a significant draw. Indorilal offers a budget-friendly option for those craving familiar flavors without breaking the bank. The cozy ambiance, often characterized by simple yet comfortable seating and perhaps some local artwork, adds to the overall charm, making it a pleasant space to unwind in Pune. However, while the food largely impresses, there are aspects where Indorilal could improve. Consistency can sometimes be an issue. On certain visits, the wada paw, a Mumbai street food favorite, might lack the punchy garlic chutney that truly defines it, or the vada itself could feel slightly dry. This inconsistency can be disappointing for patrons who have come to expect a certain standard based on previous experiences. Another potential drawback, common in smaller establishments in a city like Pune, is the limited seating capacity. During peak hours, especially around breakfast and evening snack times, finding a table can become a challenge, leading to longer waiting times or the need to seek alternatives. Additionally, while the menu focuses on traditional snacks, the lack of variety in beverages beyond the standard tea and coffee might leave some customers wanting more options, especially given Pune's diverse palate. Perhaps introducing a few more regional drinks or interesting coffee concoctions could broaden its appeal. Finally, depending on the time of day, the service can occasionally feel a little stretched, particularly when Indorilal is bustling with customers. While the staff is generally friendly, a more streamlined system during busy periods could enhance the overall customer experience. In conclusion, Indorilal offers a comforting and largely satisfying experience for those seeking authentic Indian snacks in a cozy setting within Pune. Its strengths lie in the delicious and affordable renditions of classic dishes like pohe, sabudana wada, and samosa, which consistently deliver on flavor. However, addressing the occasional inconsistencies in dishes like the wada paw, managing seating capacity during peak hours, expanding beverage options, and ensuring consistently efficient service would elevate Indorilal from a good local spot to a truly exceptional one in Pune's vibrant food scene. Despite these minor drawbacks, Indorilal remains a worthwhile visit for anyone craving a taste of home and a warm, welcoming atmosphere in the city. Highly disappointed with Indorilaal this time. All food items were cold. Dhokla was hard and stale. Kachori were super spicy. Aloo vada was not provided instead Aloo kachori was given. Poha was also poor in taste and very spicy. Only thing enjoyed was 3 pieces of jalebi
