Masala dosa and veg cutlet... All time favorites ... But pls do try chilly chicken and porotta... The chilly chicken is fried and sugary. But tastes bindass. Food: 4 Service: 4
Review of Indian Coffee House, Chengannur I recently revisited the Indian Coffee House in Chengannur after a year, and while there were some positives, my experience fell short in several areas. Food & Price: The food continues to be a highlight. The Ghee Masala Dosa is a must-try, and their tea and coffee never disappoint. The prices remain reasonable, which is always a plus. Ambience & Interior: However, the ambiance leaves a lot to be desired. The interior feels neglected and in need of maintenance. This detracts from the overall experience, especially since the space holds so much potential. It would be great if the management invested in making the environment more inviting and comfortable for guests. Staff: Unfortunately, the staff interaction was less than ideal. While a few were polite, the one who attended to us was rude, which negatively impacted the overall service experience. Customer service is a key factor in creating a welcoming atmosphere, and this is an area that definitely needs improvement. Cleanliness: A major concern was the cleanliness of the restaurant. I noticed staff washing plates and utensils in the customer washing area, which was off-putting and unprofessional. Tasks like these should be done out of sight of customers to maintain a hygienic and pleasant environment. Additionally, the washroom, especially the ladies’ restroom, was in a poor condition. It urgently needs attention to ensure cleanliness and comfort for all customers. Overall: While the food quality and pricing remain strong, the overall experience was marred by the issues mentioned above. With some attention to the interior, staff training, cleanliness, and restroom maintenance, the Indian Coffee House in Chengannur could easily improve and offer a much more enjoyable experience. I still believe in the brand, and I hope that management takes note of these concerns and addresses them. I look forward to returning in the future with hopes of a better visit.
