We ordered Aloo Bhaja, Jhinge Aloo Posto, Doi Katla, Fulkopi Katla and Aam Chatni along with our respective plates of rice. There were a number of other delectable Bengali dishes present in their menu but most of them were unavailable and that was due to the ingredients or vegetables required for preparing them to unavailable currently. So it is advisable to look beyond the menu since the unavailability may leave many frustrated. But still I decided to give them a 5-star rating simply because of the cost and the quality they serve at that same cost in a city like Bangalore.
There was nothing special with the Aloo Bhaja but the Jhinge Aloo Posto was terrific. The staff checked and presented us with 4 pieces of "peti" for the katla dishes which delighted us further. However, we were more surprised when we saw the pieces he served. In our daily Bengali lives, we usually make two pieces of fish with the one he served as one. In addition to this, both the fish dishes were prepared very well and we literally licked the curry totally out of the plates. The Aam Chatni was nothing special but provided a good way to round off our meal.
Huko Mukho Hangla deserves to visited again and most probably I will once my parents come here for a short visit from back home !
