Tried out Hug a Mug recently and here’s how it went: Penne Pasta (₹220 approx). The pasta was decent in taste and quality — nothing exceptional, but good enough if you’re craving a casual plate of pasta. However, a small letdown was the garlic bread. Though they mentioned it would be served with garlic bread, what came was just a plain toasted slice — definitely not what was promised. Milkyway Dessert (₹150 approx). This was pitched as their best seller, described as a premium sponge dipped in chocolate coating, paired with vanilla ice cream. But in reality, the sponge cake tasted pretty much like a regular carrot/dates cake you’d find at any local bakery, just dressed up in a chocolate coat. Not bad, but certainly didn’t live up to the hype or the ‘premium’ tag. Both soups listed on the menu were unavailable at the time, which was a bit disappointing.
