Vaishali was my pitstop for the last 10 years, thanks to the village ambience it offered. But my recent visit was devastating. I stopped by on a Saturday at 7:15 AM, only to experience a nightmare as: - Idlis were sour. - Sambar was neither Bengaluru nor Udupi style—spicy, watery, but piping hot. - Tea was cold, even though I was told it was freshly brewed. Service:. Despite having a number of staff and only 10 customers in the restaurant, the service was poor. A bearded man, who seemed to be the manager, was full of attitude and arrogance. I am not willing to try my luck at Vaishali again. There are plenty of good new restaurants around. I recently visited Vaishali Channapatna on Mysore Road and had an overall good experience. The food was definitely the highlight – the biryani, in particular, was fantastic! Packed with flavor and the right amount of spices, it’s definitely worth trying. The ambience was okay – not too fancy but decent enough for a casual meal. The parking space was quite spacious, which is always a plus, and the washrooms were clean and well-maintained. If you’re looking for a place with great food and easy parking while on the Mysore Expressway, this is a solid option, though the ambience could be improved to make it feel a bit more inviting.
