Tried the Mutton Palav and Chicken Palav – both are excellent with that authentic Mysore taste. The mutton is tender, flavorful, and cooked just right, while the chicken palav is aromatic and balanced without being too oily or spicy. Definitely a must-try for palav lovers! However, the Egg Pepper dish was not up to the mark – lacked flavor and didn’t match the standard of the palav. Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2
Dear Vaibhav Management, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to share my feedback regarding my recent experience at the family section of your establishment, which I have been a loyal customer of for the past 20 years. Unfortunately, my recent visit was quite disappointing. The service was subpar, and the food served was cold. It seemed that our requests were overlooked, as we were given what appeared to be leftover items instead of fresh meals. Additionally, I encountered an unpleasant interaction with the lady at the cash counter. Her demeanor was quite rude, especially towards my children, which made the experience even more uncomfortable. In contrast, I have always enjoyed dining at the old hotel section, which continues to maintain a high standard of service and quality. Based on my recent experience, I cannot recommend the family section to others. I hope you take this feedback into consideration to improve the experience for future customers. Thank you for your attention to this matter Service: Dine in
Edit: Learnt from another google reviewer that this place has its origins as a bar. That explains a lot. They are not a place for respectable family crowd. Please do not go here if your a family with kids. Food is truly average. Went here seeing 2 good reviews by Malayalees (we ourselves are malayalees and we guessed from the names on Google review) but utterly disappointed by the vibe. Enjoyed the Chicken kabab. We had originally ordered Chicken fry but it was gravy. The waiter said fry here is a gravy dish. The Biriyani here is a total disappointment. RRR and Annavilasam were much better. While both RRR and Annavilasam had delicious food, they both had fantastic vibe. At RRR , the staff were very helpful and smiling despite dealing with a sea of customers who were all waiting in line for at least 20 mins. Annavilasam was a class apart in terms of both food and service. From Manager to housekeeping staff, all were carrying and playing with our 1 year old despite a long lunch hour. The food at Vaibhava is average and service is insufferable. No such thing as ambience- just dirty walls and tables. Price is pocket friendly . But we personally would never again go to a restraunt which is not neat and has a negative vibe. They call themselves a family restraunt but they are the most anti-family establishment we have had the misfortune to step into. We have been on a 4 day vacation at Mysore with our 3 boys (who are 5,3 and 1) were pleasently surprised by the good food and hospitality at the popular eateries. Vaibhava however was not at all like the other places. At Vaibhava they charged us cleaning fee because apparently our 1 year old child should learn to behave :D we don't care for the charge but for the owner's arrogant attitude towards us customer. We travel a good deal and never encountered such crude behaviour from owners. We are not the average demanding customers and people usually compliment us for how relatively well behaved our little children are. Still, Vaibhava managed to give us an unpleasant experience. Don't go here. Go to the places I already mentioned plus there are many more in Mysore. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹200–400 Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
