One of the prominant hotels in Pune. Mutten handi with black curry test was very delicious. Food Cost is quite high for Single person. Best for Family Dining. Very clean and neat place. Staff is quite good but need for improvement. Serving bislary water without asking is not good service from waiter. Overall experience was above my aspectations. Chapati needed to more bigger and thinner. CGST and SGST is hedache for Food lovers. Meal type: Lunch Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Terrible experience. Waited 15 mins to be seated despite empty tables. Food arrived cold after 45 minutes — undercooked chicken and a hair in the curry. Staff was rude and unapologetic. Place was unhygienic with flies and dirty restrooms. Definitely not worth the price. Never coming back. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₹1,000–1,200 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Hotel Sandeep – A Meat Lover’s Spot with Rich Flavors and a Signature Gravy If you’re a non-vegetarian food enthusiast looking for a satisfying meal in Maharashtra, Hotel Sandeep should definitely be on your radar. Known for its authentic and robust non-veg preparations, this place offers a culinary experience rooted in local flavors and traditional recipes. Ambience & Service: Hotel Sandeep has a no-frills, functional ambience that keeps the focus on the food. It’s clean, fairly well-maintained, and tends to be bustling during peak hours—a testament to its popularity. The staff is courteous and reasonably efficient, though service might slow down a bit when the place is crowded. Starters – Bold and Flavorful: The starters here are a real treat for the taste buds. Whether it’s the classic chicken tikka, spicy mutton sukka, or the tangy tandoori options, the dishes are well-marinated, cooked to perfection, and generously spiced. These appetizers pack a punch and are ideal for kick-starting your meal with friends or family. Main Course – The Black Gravy Legend: The highlight of the menu—and arguably the reason many regulars keep coming back—is the signature black gravy. Typically prepared with a base of slow-cooked onions, robust spices, and a secret blend of masalas, this dish is dark, rich, and full of depth. Whether paired with mutton, chicken, or even seafood, the black gravy delivers a deeply satisfying, almost addictive flavor that reflects the essence of local non-veg cuisine. It pairs wonderfully with bhakri or plain rice, and is a must-try if you’re visiting for the first time. Pricing – On the Higher Side: While the food is undeniably flavorful and the portions decent, the pricing is slightly on the higher side compared to similar establishments. Expect to pay a bit of a premium, especially for the signature dishes. However, for many, the taste justifies the tag—especially if you’re someone who values depth and authenticity in regional non-veg cuisine. Verdict: Hotel Sandeep stands out for its robust non-veg offerings, especially its famous black gravy mains and flavorful starters. While it may not be the most budget-friendly option around, it certainly delivers on taste and tradition. If you’re looking to indulge in a hearty, spicy, and distinctly Maharashtrian non-veg meal, this place is worth a visit.
