Stayed here for two nights. The views really are amazing and it is very peaceful. The staff, especially the manager, were great and made the stay. They were very friendly and made a real effort to get to know you and make you feel welcome. The food for breakfast and dinner was of a good quality each day - both the buffet and off the menu. It is a big hotel, so you do get big groups, however the manager managed it well and noise was minimal after around 10.30pm. The hotel does seem a little old now and, as per other reviews, the corridors etc did remind me a bit of a hospital. However, the rooms were spacious, clean and fairly priced.

One of the best hotel I have visited during my spiti valley trip. Rooms are clean and you will get best view from your balcony. Tasty food with great service. Anil uncle who manage all the stuff here is very cooperative and very polite.If you are planning for Kalpa I will recommend you this hotel for sure.

The only good thing and the USP of the hotel is it's view from the balcony. Other than that rooms are not well maintained, washroom is not up to the mark...most of the comods are broken...there was water passing issue in my parents room's washroom...my father told the problem repeatedly to the tour manager as well as the hotel manager but it was not solved... And the worst part of Hotel Rakpa Regency is the FRONT DESK MANAGER...I'M ASHAMED THAT HE IS A BENGALI....HE HAS SUCH ATTITUDE THAT WE STAY THERE WITHOUT PAYING A SINGLE PENNY....RUDE BEHAVIOUR!!! HE INSTRUCTED HIS STAFFS NOT TO CARRY HEAVY HAND LUGGAGES...AS IT'S AN AIRPORT....BUT IN ANOTHER HOTELS WE DIDN'T FACE SUCH THINGS....A MANAGER WITH LOT OF ATTITUDE..HE'S LUCKY THAT THE PLACE IS KALPA..IF IT'S KOLKATA THEN WE CAN GIVE HIM THE APPROPRIATE ANSWER OF HIS ARROGANT BEHAVIOUR
