One of the most loved seafood eateries for TAPMI students and the place where I used to have lunch every alternate day. All the items are lipsmackingly tasty and the seafood is as fresh as it can get. Prices are very much reasonable compared to other eateries in Manipal specially for the quality, taste and quantity.

Disco tawa fry is a MUST TRY item!

Pingara is the go to place for fish lovers from TAPMI college. Their fish fries and prawn dishes are lip smacking good. I have tried almost every fish that they serve.
Bangude & Disco - Rs.40
Anjal - Rs.120
Prawns - Rs.130 (Sukka, Fry)
Pomfret - Rs.200
All the above fishes are Tawa Fry rates. Their Bangda and Anjal are the best with two completely different price points. If you have the cash go for Anjal otherwise choose the cheaper Bangude.
Double Egg Omlettes for Rs.30 can be ordered to share with the table as it is very thick and heavy.
Their fish curry and rice is also cheap (Rs.30) and get a bottled lime soda (Rs.10) to round off a very good meal within Rs.100.

I have not been a fish person from the beginning. But this place has changed me into one. The freshness of fish is amazing and the balanced flavor of the fish curry they serve is lip smacking. My usual order is Boiled Rice thali with any of the fish (all costs the same) and I have sumptuous lunch or dinner whenever I get time to visit the place in just Rs 70-80
