Pathetic service and response from the waiters. You have to shout ten times to make them hear you to fill up the plate. One of the worst thali experiences for me instead either going to Hotel Bablu (low cost and great customer service) or Hotel Raj. The people in this hotel never arrive to fill up the plate but will surely wait for you at the cash counter to give the exact cost details.. I know the manager will never look at this review or reply but please don't serve poor hungry customers who comes from a distance to have a good meal with this service and attitude Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3
Mousumi Hotel – A Tale of Two Lunches A couple of years ago, I had lunch at Mousumi Hotel while returning from an exam. Back then, the hotel was located on the left side if you were heading from Lakhimpur to Tezpur (or right side if it was the other way around—yes, directions and roads always seem to play tricks). I still remember that meal vividly—great taste, generous portions, and fast, friendly service. Everything about it was spot on. It was the kind of lunch that makes you loosen your belt and smile all the way home. So naturally, I returned this time with high hopes—and with family. But alas! Something was missing. The taste that once danced on my tongue had now decided to take a holiday. It wasn’t bad, but it just didn’t hit the same. Maybe it was nostalgia playing games, or maybe the chef decided to take it easy that day. The service, to be fair, was still good. Quick and polite staff, no complaints there. Now, let’s talk about the location—and here’s the twist. The new location is much better than before. Big space, nice decor, and a huge parking area where your car can breathe and stretch while you do the same. It’s the perfect place to eat and chill, especially after a long road trip or a busy day. So, here’s the bottom line: If you’ve never been before, you’ll probably like it. But if you, like me, are chasing the ghost of a perfect meal from two years ago, be warned—it might not taste quite the same. Still, a solid pit stop, with good service, nice ambiance, and a relaxing vibe. Just don’t bring too much nostalgia on your plate. Price per person: ₹1–200 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3

However, it is worth noting that the prices at Mousumir Parampara are relatively higher compared to the traditional Mousumi Hotel.
