You can visit this restaurant if you happen to be near Naval Museum (Swarna Jyoti Museum). Chinese and Indian cuisines are famous around the world and guests advise you to try them at Hotel Meghalaya. Clients don't like sambar at this place.
It's easy to find this spot due to its great location. A number of visitors suppose that the staff is gracious here. The good service is a big plus of this restaurant. Democratic prices are what you are to pay for your meal. The lovely ambiance has been noted by the clients. But Hotel Meghalaya is not highly appreciated by Google users who assigned it a below average rating.

We had very good opinion about meghalaya. But recently when I visited to have a delightful evening, to my surprise there was lot cheaos.. ... the day was Saturday 6/9/25. Food was excellent but no discipline among staff members.

This is my honest review of Hotel Meghalaya in Visakhapatnam (Gajuwaka) after my fourth stay: 1. The area in front of the hotel is a mess due to the gathering of auto rickshaws, making parking impossible. It's difficult to park even a single car. 2. The receptionist at the front desk is very junior and lacks proper customer service skills. I did not notice any senior staff present to assist. 3. One of the lifts is out of order, which is inconvenient. 4. The lobby smells strongly of smoke, and despite complaining, no one from the hotel seemed to care or take action. 5. The food, especially the biryani, was subpar and not up to standard. 6. The bathroom is very cramped, and after taking a shower, the water floods the floor. Even after waiting for hours, you can’t re-enter without stepping in the water. The exhaust fan doesn’t work, and the taps are faulty. 7. Today, we ordered snacks after coming back from work, and it took about 10 minutes just to find a restaurant staff member. When we finally asked, the front desk staff said there was a family function happening on the terrace, and the restaurant staff was occupied. That was a poor excuse, and even after an hour, no one bothered to serve us. The senior manager also showed no interest, as he was outside the hotel. 8. Everyday same breakfast under complimentary scheme. 9. No entertainment facility given except youtube channel . 10. Receptionist everyday asking about check out day whereas already told after 6 days .. very irritating. The room itself was clean, and the room charge was reasonable, which is why I’m giving them 5 stars for that. But with all the issues mentioned above and the lack of proper service, this will be my last stay at this hotel. Think carefully before booking here. --- Hotel management must think about this..
