After hearing so much about Hotel Kannappa near the New Bus Stand in Trichy, I finally visited and packed my dinner—and it did not disappoint! I ordered: Kannappa Special Prawn – Fresh, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavor. Mutton Paya – Rich, comforting, and absolutely delicious. Kannappa Special Chicken Chukka – Spicy, well-roasted, and packed with authentic taste. Elaneer Payasam – A refreshing, mildly sweet dessert with the delicate flavor of tender coconut. Every dish was outstanding, proving that Hotel Kannappa truly deserves its reputation. If you’re in Trichy, this place is a must-visit for an unforgettable non-veg feast! I had lunch at this hotel, and unfortunately, the service was disappointing. I ordered parota with mushroom curry, and both were subpar. The parota seemed like it was an old one that had been reheated, and the curry had an off taste. The mushroom and curry didn’t complement each other at all. I stayed at Blossom Hotel and decided to have lunch at Kannappa. Ordered thali but was informed that it will take more than 10 mins. Service staff recommended Briyani. Ordered 1 mutton briyani and 1 egg briyani and pepper prawns. Food was served 10 minutes later. The briyani was samba rice. Egg briyani comes with 2 eggs and mutton with only 3 small mutton pieces. The pepper prawns was ok but nothing spectacular. Not worth having briyani at Kannapa. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
