After looking at Khasbag Maidan, have a meal at HOTEL DAULAT. The menu of Chinese and Mughlai cuisines is recommended to try at this restaurant. HOTEL DAULAT provides nicely cooked fried chicken, fried fish and biryani.

Hotel Daulat in Kolhapur is a small yet impressive place that offers an authentic taste of Kolhapuri cuisine. Located on the ground floor of a private apartment, the restaurant has been managed thoughtfully and neatly, giving it a cozy and homely atmosphere. Despite being in a residential setup, it doesn’t compromise on cleanliness or presentation, which makes the dining experience quite comfortable. The food quality here is commendable — every dish served carries the genuine flavor of Kolhapuri masalas. The spices are well-balanced, not overly hot or salty, which enhances the overall taste. The curries have a rich texture, and the aroma of traditional spices instantly reminds you of home-cooked meals from this region. It’s clear that they focus on serving food that reflects the local culinary culture rather than overly commercial flavors. However, one drawback I found was the lack of an unlimited thali option. Unlike most traditional Kolhapuri joints, they don’t offer unlimited rotis, bhakris, or rice. In fact, we were served only two bhakris, which felt disappointing considering the expectations from a thali restaurant. Still, if you’re someone who appreciates authentic taste and good quality food over quantity, Hotel Daulat is worth visiting at least once.
