Once a favored haunt for its savory dinner spread and prompt service, Hotel Baithak has regrettably lost its edge. My recent visit around 7:30 pm was anything but pleasing. Despite the almost deserted ambiance with merely five patrons, the service was excruciatingly slow, rivaling a tortoise’s pace. A stark contrast to the bustling atmosphere it once had. The food, once a delight to the palate, now lacks the richness and flavors that made it unique. The dip in quality was glaring, making the dining experience a rather bland affair. The charm that Hotel Baithak held for me is now overshadowed by the lackluster service and the mediocre fare on offer. It's disheartening to witness such a decline in standards at a place that once boasted fine dining and amiable service. The essence of a good restaurant lies in its ability to maintain consistency in service and food quality, a benchmark Hotel Baithak seems to have lost sight of. The melancholy that now hangs over the empty tables is a testament to the dwindling allure of what was once a cherished dining locale.
