Had a worst day at my favourite hotel of all these years. Ordered mini tiffen Iam sure the taste will be as usual good. But the way it was served in the plate. The plate is totally covered in dust and they served the mini tiffen in the same plate. I realised after my first spoon of Kesari. When told the server he said he will change the plate. But I was not convinced ordered a different item. Please make sure the plates are clean. Service: 1

No car parking available here and you can't park in nearby places too. Good restaurant, poor location.

A good veg restaurant in the locality to have some good varieties of South Indian food. Hotel Ananda is located at the hotspot of Chennai, Teynampet nearby Teynampet metro and Guna Complex. It was established many years ago and still people prefer Ananda over any other hotel. Tried their Sambar Idli and Pongal recently. Sambar idli was too good with piping hot sambar and fluffy spongy idlis. Pongal was very bad, just like boiled rice, not even a single drop of Ghee. The price is a pretty high for the quantity served. Pongal costed 80 ₹for such a small portion. Every item is overpriced. But the quality and taste are good which is the reason people have been eating here for more than 5 years on a row. Their South Indian meals are divine with amazing varieties of food which is unlimited. Meals would cost 120 Rs which is pretty good for unlimited meals. They serve Rice, Sambar, Tomato Rasam, Vatha Kuzhambu, Keerai kootu, Potato poriyal, sweet Pongal, paayasam and curd which are pretty good.
