If you want to have an authentic sound indian food, then you must visit. You can have the best idli/vada/ dost/uttapam in the town. Really enjoyed the food here.

A good veg restaurant in the locality to have some good varieties of South Indian food. Hotel Ananda is located at the hotspot of Chennai, Teynampet nearby Teynampet metro and Guna Complex. It was established many years ago and still people prefer Ananda over any other hotel. Tried their Sambar Idli and Pongal recently. Sambar idli was too good with piping hot sambar and fluffy spongy idlis. Pongal was very bad, just like boiled rice, not even a single drop of Ghee. The price is a pretty high for the quantity served. Pongal costed 80 ₹for such a small portion. Every item is overpriced. But the quality and taste are good which is the reason people have been eating here for more than 5 years on a row. Their South Indian meals are divine with amazing varieties of food which is unlimited. Meals would cost 120 Rs which is pretty good for unlimited meals. They serve Rice, Sambar, Tomato Rasam, Vatha Kuzhambu, Keerai kootu, Potato poriyal, sweet Pongal, paayasam and curd which are pretty good.
