The food was fine but it’s a little expensive. The seating in the family section is congested. The head waiter did not offer the menu and named 4-5 dishes to choose from but however later we realised that there are many other dishes that were available. Car parking is limited to maybe 10 cars. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Alkapuri, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. This restaurant stands out for its high-quality food, generous portions, and excellent service and the AC dining room. One of the highlights of my visit was the Palappam and Egg Curry. I have often been disappointed when ordering Palappam from other restaurants because they lack the crispy brown texture on the sides. However, at Alkapuri, the Palappam was made perfectly, with the right amount of crispiness on the edges, which enhanced both the flavor and texture. The Egg Curry paired wonderfully with it, having a rich and balanced taste. I also tried Masala Dosa, Parotta, and Black Kadala Curry, all of which were equally impressive. The Masala Dosa had a well-seasoned filling and a crispy exterior, while the Parotta was soft, flaky, and layered just right. The Black Kadala Curry had a homely taste, with a well-balanced mix of spices that complemented the Parotta perfectly. Another major highlight was the tea, which was well-prepared and refreshing. Many restaurants tend to overlook the quality of tea, but Alkapuri ensures that even a simple cup of tea is flavorful and satisfying. The service was commendable, with a reasonable waiting time for food. The staff was polite and attentive. However, during peak hours, I noticed only two staff members taking orders for a 40+ seating area. This made it a bit difficult to call them for reorders. Adding one or two more staff members for order-taking during busy hours would make the experience even better. In terms of accessibility, Alkapuri is easily reachable from the main road and has ample parking space, which is a big advantage for families and groups. Overall, my visit to Alkapuri was pleasant and satisfying. The food quality, quantity, and ambiance were excellent. Despite the minor drawback in service during peak hours, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and would love to visit again. Highly recommended!
