Hotel Akshatha (Malpe Route): Great Breakfast Stop, Delicious Sambar! Hotel Akshatha is a small, neat vegetarian restaurant conveniently located on the way to Malpe Beach, perfect for breakfast or lunch. I enjoyed a delicious breakfast here: idli, vada, poori, and Mangalore buns. The sambar was exceptionally good, and the Mangalore buns were hot and fluffy, while the poori was crispy. Service is quick, and the food is consistently tasty with good variety. Prices are moderate, though a physical menu isn't available. Parking is very limited right in front due to its main road location.
