Most amazing combination of fish in the thali form. There fish fry, fish curries are to die for. Fish is fresh & the preparation is mind blowing. Even the karandi loncha & jawala are so tasty. I had eaten in Ratnagiri & this is exactly the same taste. Tival & Solkadi is so fresh & delicious. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₹1,600–1,800
If you're looking for an authentic Kokani seafood experience, look no further than Hotel Aamantran! Every dish we tried transported us straight to the beautiful coast of Maharashtra. We kicked off our meal with the incredible Kolambi Fry (Prawn Fry). The prawns were perfectly marinated, crispy on the outside, and tender inside—a fantastic starter to awaken the palate. For our main course, we sampled two Thalis: the Pomfret Thali and the Bombay Duck (Bombil) Thali. Both were magnificent and showcased the richness of Kokani cuisine. ️ The Kokani Thali Experience What makes their thalis truly special is the incredible variety and balance of sides: Solkadhi: The refreshing, pink, coconut-milk-based digestive was the perfect, cooling counterpoint to the spice. Kokam Kadhi: A tangy and flavourful soup made with kokam. Rassa (Gravies): The thalis included two distinct types of rassa—one fiery and flavourful, and another perhaps a lighter, coconut-based version—ensuring every bite was an adventure. Kolambi Achar (Prawn Pickle): A spicy, tangy, and addictive pickle that added an extra kick. Both the Paplet and Bombil were cooked to perfection—fresh, tender, and beautifully seasoned. This meal was more than just food; it was a genuine taste of the Konkan-style hospitality and culinary tradition. We highly recommend Hotel Aamantran for anyone craving an unforgettable and authentic seafood meal!
