Overhyped and extremely pricy experience. Reason 1. they don't have a thali system, so you need to prepare your thali by buying everything separately, which becomes very costly. ( Consider Rs500 per surmai fry piece + chapati + rice + curry, etc ) 2. Food quality is very average. 3. they don't have ambiance or parking facility compared to their pricing. Not recommended
Just as you enter you are welcomed by the Maharashtrian kitchen aroma and just then you know that you are at the right place for authentic maharashtrian homely food. They cater to both vegetarian and non vegetarian palate and their portion size is sufficient for 2 servings. We tried prawn masala curry, pomfret masala fry, dal varan, rice and bhakari. Their lemon mango pickle is also worth a mention. There wasn’t too much crowd as we arrived early and by the time we got halfway into our meals the crowd started pouring in. Service was great and staff was very attentive. This place is surely worth many repeats for real food lovers.
Would have given 5 star if they accepted digital payment. So carry cash along in case you plan to dine here.
Excellent Pomfret fry. The prawns curry was a good and generous helping. Chicken Sukka was lip smacking. Thé pricing is high. Atleast 1000/1500 for 2 would be a correct estimate as compared to the 500 mentioned in the narration.
