I recently stayed at the Himalayan Monal, and honestly, it was a very bad experience. Here’s why I strongly recommend avoiding this place: 1. Unfriendly and Suspicious Staff: The staff behaved very strangely and kept staring at us in a way that made us very uncomfortable. 2. Poor Service: We had to repeatedly call the reception for even basic things. They were slow to respond and showed little concern for guests. 3. Food Quality: Breakfast was just okay, nothing special, but dinner was decent enough (7/10). 4. AC Issues: We booked a standard room during mid-June (temperature around 20-25°C), and they didn’t turn on the AC. When we asked, the staff lied to us, saying it was broken, even though the lobby AC was clearly working fine. That’s just dishonest. 5. Unreasonable Restrictions: They didn’t let us leave the hotel early in the morning, which messed up our travel plans. 6. Location: The hotel is located quite far from Mall Road, making it inconvenient for tourists who want to explore the main attractions. Although the hotel looks like a 4-star from the outside, the management and customer care are not even worthy of one star. I strongly suggest you look for another place to stay.

Had an amazing stay at this hotel with my group tour! The rooms were spacious and clean, and the staff were super friendly. Highly recommend.
