Booking & Seating:
From the outset, we were promised a waterfront view. However, upon arrival, we were given a makeshift seating arrangement that felt unorganized and uninviting. After expressing our dissatisfaction, we were moved to another table, but the initial impression was already tarnished.
Ambiance & Music:
The music was a huge letdown. Instead of creating a festive New Year’s Eve atmosphere, it seemed to drag the mood down. Shockingly, there was no proper countdown or announcement to ring in the new year — most guests seemed unaware when midnight struck.
Service:
The service was abysmal, likely due to reduced staff. There was a noticeable lack of attention, and after 11:30 PM, no staff or managers were in sight. This lack of professionalism during such a key event was unacceptable.
Food:
The food was another major disappointment. The buffet was stone cold from the start, and when we requested fresh, hot bread (naan/roti), the chef simply reheated the existing ones. Desserts were no better — cold and lackluster, with melted ice cream that guests had to serve themselves. To top it off, the Gajjar ka halwa tasted like undercooked carrots mixed with sugar, clearly made without care or effort.
Overall Experience:
This event was a complete flip from the wonderful New Year’s celebration we had previously experienced at this venue. My guest visiting from outside Nagpur was extremely disappointed, and honestly, I cannot recommend Highland Park Waterfront to anyone after this experience. Arjun, if you’re reading this, serious improvements are needed for future events.
