One of the worst food at a great location. Not even 1 dish was upto the mark .. dissatisfied I ordered the Sitfal milkshake ... I thought what could go wrong in sitaphal and milk . But .. Left it half way ... Unbelievably poor in taste and quality that too at Rs.260 for a glass . Will never come here again !!! Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2

A Tale of Two Cuisines: South Indian Excellence vs. Chinese Letdown I’ve been a regular at High Point Veg Restaurant, having enjoyed their South Indian specialties like masala dosa, idli vada sambhar, tomato onion uttapam, and rava masala dosa on several past visits. These dishes have consistently delivered the rich flavors and textures one expects from a well-established South Indian eatery. However, my recent foray into their Chinese cuisine left much to be desired, warranting a cautious 2-star rating overall. A Disappointing Dive into Chinese Cuisine Lured by multiple glowing reviews on Zomato and Swiggy, I decided to explore the restaurant’s Chinese menu. I ordered three dishes—a rice option, a noodles dish, and a main gravy—to get a comprehensive taste: • Burnt Garlic Noodles: Despite the intriguing name, these noodles turned out to be bland, with a stale texture that did not live up to the promise of aromatic garlic notes. • Veg Fried Rice: Expected to be a flavorful accompaniment, the fried rice was devoid of any significant seasoning or spice, leaving it tasting flat and uninspired. • Mushroom Chilly in Schezwan Sauce: Perhaps the most disappointing of all, the mushroom in this dish was undercooked, and the overall preparation lacked the bold flavors characteristic of a well-executed Schezwan sauce. Each dish suffered from one glaring issue: a profound lack of taste. It felt as if the Chinese menu was added merely for the sake of variety, rather than as a thoughtfully curated culinary experience. Overpriced for the Outcome To add to the disappointment, the final bill was steep relative to both the quality and quantity of the food served. When paying a premium, diners expect a memorable, flavor-rich meal—a standard the Chinese offerings at High Point simply did not meet. Final Thoughts While I would have preferred to give zero stars for the Chinese experience, my past positive encounters with their South Indian dishes have compelled me to settle on a 2-star rating overall. High Point Veg Restaurant remains a go-to for South Indian cuisine enthusiasts, but I would advise potential customers to think twice before trying their Chinese menu.
