I truly love Cherry Garden and have been a regular visitor for a long time. Even today, I visited the outlet. It is a wonderful place to relax with friends and family, especially for evening snacks, and I genuinely appreciate the quality and legacy of the bakery. However, I would like to bring one concern to your kind attention. On multiple visits, I have experienced rude and unwelcoming behaviour from two female staff members one who wears a red sweatshirt (indian skin tone) and the other wear a pink jumper(white skin tone with broad forehead and curly hair), they both are married. Their manner of interaction often feels discourteous, as if customers are asking for something undeserved, which makes the overall experience uncomfortable. I respectfully request you to look into this matter and guide the staff towards maintaining polite and customer-friendly behaviour. Cherry Garden is not just a bakery; it holds emotional value for many people in Jorhat. For many 90s and millennial kids, their first birthday cakes came from this very shop, which makes it a place close to people’s hearts. I hope my feedback will be taken positively, as it comes from a genuine admirer of Cherry Garden who wishes to continue visiting with the same warmth and comfort as before. My experience was pathetic at the Cherry Garden bakery adjacent to Smart Bazar. When you get into a food business, you should understand that food should be served with a smile else it becomes a poison . Every single staff at this particular outlet has a grumpy face while serving the customers, as if they never wanted to do this job. They are so low on energy as if they are terminally ill. How can you serve sweet bakery items with such a bitter face ? No body attends when you are standing at the counter and you have to shout to get their attention. Is that we get for the hefty price we pay for ? They remain busy conversing among themselves. Even the guy at the payment counter is so sullen faced that it seems he will shout at you any moment. A bakery shop should have genuinely smiling faces to serve the sweet memories they sell. Another incident- I went for my son’s birthday cake and my son and we as parents were so excited about this cake purchase. But the guy on the counter didn’t pay attention to what we said. We selected a cake and asked him to pack. He slammed a paper and a pen on the counter to write what we wished to get written. We wrote it and then he vanished for an indefinite time. He kept us waiting for time immemorial. When he appeared he came with the box and said in a rude tone that candles were not available. He didn’t appear apologetic at all as if it was his fundamental right to inform customers about the unavailable candles and gloat over the customers agony of finding candles at a different shop. As a basic courtesy aren’t you supposed to provide candles along with birthday cakes ? When I insisted he responded with a cold “cant help” gesture. Now were we supposed to get this kind of experience when we all had gone to this bakery shop to shop for our son’s birthday. The entire experience was so sour that we donated that cake to a beggar on the streets and shopped for a cake at a different equally reputed bakery for a better experience and delight. I would never recommend this place if you wish to have a good time because while the inorganic environment seems plush the organic environment is so bitter. Avoid it and go to better places where the staff serve you with a smile and genuine hospitality.
