Extremely Disappointed with Haldirams near Borivali station A truly disappointing experience. The masala dosa had a massive chunk of onion, making it inedible. The chhole bhature were utterly bland, lacking any authentic flavor. The dahi puri was an even bigger letdown — just curd, potato, and sev, with no chutney, no coriander, nothing to balance the taste. To top it off, the QR scanner on the table, meant for ordering and sharing feedback, was completely non-functional. From a leading food chain, this level of carelessness is unacceptable. Haldiram’s Train Coach Restaurant in Borivali East is definitely a unique place with its train-themed setup and nostalgic railway-style interiors. The ambiance is quite nice, with soft instrumental music adding to the experience. The food is decent, and I really liked the Raj Kachori and Chole Bhature, but overall, the quality feels inconsistent. While the concept is great, the service could be better, and I’ve seen mixed reviews from others too. It’s worth a visit for the novelty, but don’t expect anything extraordinary. Being a regular customer at this restaurant i face one problem that is inconsistency of curd in curd based dishes like dahi Puri, dahi vada, dahi papadi chat etc. I request you to please make a standard about the quantity of curd to be put in the dish. I regularly visit your restaurant and I find it too inconvenient to see less curd and sometimes more than required. Please set a standard and strictly follow it. I love all dishes of haldirams. But just make a standard on the quantity of curd. Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4
