Extremely disappointed with my recent order. The food quality was far below expectations—it tasted stale and poorly prepared. I had high hopes given the reviews, but this was a complete waste of money. I would not recommend ordering from here.

It’s always bustling with crowds, yet remains one of the most pocket‑friendly spots in town. I tried the chapati with chicken fry — tasty and satisfying and lime juice .The chicken biryani was decent, though I’ve had better versions elsewhere. Still, the overall vibe, budget‑friendly pricing, and the nostalgic charm make it worth a visit. If you’re looking for a classic, no‑frills restaurant with history, affordable meals, and a lively atmosphere, Hotel Taj since 1955 is a reliable stop. On my visit, I tried their legacy Chapati and Chicken Combo, and both components delivered a satisfying flavor profile. However, because the restaurant sits right next to the busy main road, dedicated parking space is unavailable.
