Forced to give one star as there is no option of minus star. Terrible service, dirty smelly blanket with stains all over. Asked them thrice to change the blanket/ blanket cover. Finally they brought a blanket cover and began to change, but to our utter surprise, it was damp. In chilling cold they were expecting us to use damp blanket. No hot water available at night. The phone in room was also dead. We had to call through our mobile phones. Despite these terrible services the staff asked for tips the moment we entered the hotel room and also when we were leaving. Very rude and shameless staff. Won’t recommend anyone to go. Service: 1

Experience fine hospitality at Hotel Pratap Palace in our recent visit to Varanasi. We met with the owner of the place and he is a kind soul and was kind to avail us immediate booking during a very hectic wedding week. It’s located inside an alley of a busy commercial lane. One can find all sort of eatery on the same. The hotel is clean and well-managed. The staff is generous offering help whenever needed. The rooms were clean, spacious and well-lit. Cleaning was done every morning. Ours was windowed to a balcony apt for breathing the morning breeze. It was winter and hence warm water was needed. They have it supplied throughout the day. Service: 5
