Hotel Prakash is pretty near Basilica of Our Lady of Good Health. This restaurant can be recommended for tasty chicken and perfectly cooked prawns. Hotel Prakash is famous for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. It's a pity, food here isn't worth the high prices as users state. This place is not highly estimated by Google users who assigned it a below average rating.

Prakash hotel was once serving best food but it’s pathetic. I ordered kothu Parota and the chef is very lazy where he is cooking without any interest and taste was like hell. Not recommended.

Location: Beach Road, Velankanni Very expensive food. Don't get drawn into as its 1 of 3 big hotels in Velankanni. Hotel Dravidar is better comparatively. Hotel Chandra is most expensive but food is fresh. Hotel Prakash is not only expensive but never buy meals in the night. They serve whatever was made in the morning and most times it was stale and screwed up and spoilt. We have a food poisoning after consuming the meals. Only Parotta is fresh. Fish is the worst. Don't even dream to eat fresh fish here. It would be put in masala 2 or 3 days ago itself. Whatever they don't sell which is pre fried, it's again served next day after frying it again. Hotel Mariya is the best in the location. Food is fresh and prices is better than all the 3 mentioned above. The locals also eat from here who run shops in the vicinity.
