It is a friendly atmosphere. The food is toooo yummmmm. It is highly recommended cafe. Do visit the cafe. They made fresh food always. 15-20mins at the most. It is worth the wait. Chicken Taco - Rs.150/ Red Tea - Rs.20/- Hesed Cafe, Rohila Building, Jaiaw Langsning, Shillong Cafe $$ 18.06.24 Today after I left office & before entering the hospital, I wanted to munch on something. @kordorsumer had a couple of days ago recommended to try out @hesedcafe__ located inside Rohila building which is a few buildings before the Roberts Hospital Gate. Infact I had noticed this place a week before but it was about to close. I entered inside. It was a small cozy & well lit cafe. The lady at the counter welcomed me in with a smile & handed me the menu. It was a cafe menu & since I wasn't planning to have anything heavy, I opted for a Chicken Taco with a cup of Red Tea. It is self service. When I entered there were other customers who had just placed their orders. The word "Hesed" is a Hebrew word which means steadfast love, mercy, kindness & goodness. I sat down & waited. Infact I waited for 45mins for my order to arrive as everything was prepared fresh & there were prior orders. I was in a hurry; my father was waiting inside the hospital for me. The lady at the counter had such a calm & composed demeanor, infact the place itself exuberates calmness that I was surprised I wasn't growing anxious at all. Anyway my order arrived & I quickly devoured it. The taco was not a corn taco but a wheat one. The bread was more like an Indian chapati bread but the filling inside with the chicken & veggies was tasty. It also had just the right amount of mayo. I like it. The red tea surprisingly was very light & refreshing. This is a newly opened cafe & I'm sure they will grow, learn & improve further with time. I wish them all the best.
