My review is only for restaurant . Its a busy place , and cash only place. The food is nice , tastes simple , not much spicy and absolutely value for money. I waited for 20 mins to get a table and had to almost fight the other guy to get it. I think they should manage the waiting customers properly. Overall it was nice to have a visit there. Service: 3

It was my first-ever visit to Kanpur City, and as someone from Hyderabad—a city renowned for its Biryani—I naturally searched for one. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the results. So, I shifted my focus to Thali-serving restaurants and came across Gyan Vaishnav Hotel, Gumti No.5, Kanpur. The mixed reviews gave me a novice jitter, but I decided to give it a try. I started from Mac Robert Gunj and reached the hotel at 12:00 PM, only to be told to wait for another hour. Finally, I returned at 1:00 PM to give it a go. The menu is simple, displayed on the wall at the entrance. My order: Jeera Aloo – ₹55 Dal Fry – ₹45 Roti – ₹12 each Jeera Rice – ₹35 The portions are relatively small, but the food is succulent. I ended my meal with their dessert, Kheer (Sabudana – ₹30), which was good but not exceptional. Overall Rating: Taste: (4/5) Portion: (4/5) Ambience: (3/5) Quality: (3/5) Location: The hotel’s name board is visible from the main road, but it's tucked inside, making the approach seem shabby and questionable. However, once inside, the old-school vibe and compact two-floor seating make it a decent spot—though expect waiting during peak hours. Notably: Accept cash only. Would I visit again? Possibly, for a simple, homely meal. Service: 3
