Gunj Hotel and Resort offers a decent stay option, but it falls short in terms of maintenance and overall upkeep. While the property has potential, several issues make it less appealing, especially for longer stays. One of the positive aspects of the resort is its staff, who are attentive, polite, and provide good service. They are quick to respond to requests and do their best to ensure a comfortable stay. Unfortunately, the shortcomings in the infrastructure overshadow their efforts. The rooms, though spacious, show signs of neglect. Basic amenities such as geysers are missing, making it inconvenient for guests, especially during cooler months. Additionally, Wi-Fi coverage is inconsistent, particularly for rooms located in the corners, leaving guests disconnected. Another noticeable issue is the inadequate curtains that fail to cover the entire window, resulting in a lack of privacy and unwanted light entering the room. The food served at the resort is average, offering a limited selection that may not cater to all tastes. While it is adequate for a short stay, it might not be satisfying for guests staying longer or seeking a more varied dining experience. Overall, Gunj Hotel and Resort may work for a one-night stopover if you’re willing to compromise on comfort and amenities. However, for a longer stay or if you’re looking for a hassle-free experience, it might be better to explore other options.
