I visited Gulshan Dhaba in Murthal during a recent road trip and it turned out to be one of the best food stops I’ve experienced on a highway. The place has a lively vibe, plenty of seating, and a clean, well-maintained environment that immediately sets it apart from typical roadside dhabas. As a vegetarian, I really appreciated the variety on the menu. I tried their famous stuffed parathas — aloo, gobi, and paneer — and each one was perfectly crisp on the outside and generously filled. Served with a generous dollop of white butter, fresh curd, and spicy pickles, the meal was both comforting and satisfying. I also ordered their dal makhani with tandoori rotis, which was rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. What stood out to me was how quickly they managed to serve food despite the heavy rush. The staff was efficient and courteous, which made the overall experience even better. The place is spacious with indoor and semi-outdoor seating, making it a great stop for families, groups, or solo travelers like me. They also have a hotel attached — Hotel GreenSky by Gulshan Dhaba — which looked like a decent option for anyone needing a rest during long travel. Best aloo parantha on the murthal stretch Dal makhni lacha paratha good Surprise was dal tadka chana very tasty Do try the Masala chai here. Visited Gulshan Dhaba after 38 years that time it was a ordinary joint with water jugs chained to tables. Overall good food stop.
