Location is all you got here! Rooms are clean. Food at restaurant is good. However you are better off going for the aartis through some other vendors and not depend on promises made by this hotel. They have boats that are brought in late or break down. No compensation, no apologies for ruining the basic purpose of our trip due to their delays. Toooooo expensive for what you get. Front desk refused to provide 2 more cookies in the guest room “free cookie” jar to a customer paying 30k INR a night! Gotta learn something about customer service and the balance between cutting corners. General vibe seems to be of dont admit fault. Fly in tea that comes 45 minutes after ordering- dont admit fault. And of course still charge the full exorbitant price. Its a big time money making entity opening up another money making entity next door very soon. They dont care. Location is all you go there for. Perfect place to stay in Varanasi. Easy transport by river boat to all the interesting places. The rooms are nice and the hotel beautifully decorated. Feels more like a big home than a hotel. We ate dinner there all 3 nights. Excellent. Service: 5

No body should visit Guleria Kothi hotel without prior booking. We went for a walk-in dinner around 9.00 pm, but the entire staff didn't let us in as the hotel had guests were dinning.. have never heard of a restaurant that had returned their guests without dinner.. worst experience after reaching the hotel after walking for 30 mins through winding lanes of Varanasi Rooms: 2 Service: 1 Location: 5
