Sruti made the visit to the restaurant wonderful - it was my little sister’s birthday and they treated her like a princess. Absolutely the best lunch for the little 5 year old - full blown cake with a candle and tonnes of smiles. Food was brilliant too. Can’t fault the taste or the service. Food was good. All-day dining is no longer an accurate description since it closes at 11.30pm.Service around 11pm was skeletal, with just one junior server, who told us the bar would close at 11.30pm, but did not clarify that the kitchen would close as well at the same time. I have been visiting the Taj for the last 30 -odd years and the Esplanade/Hub (the precursors of Cal-27) were 24/7 restaurants. I was rather shocked that the Taj isn't operating a 24/7 unit anymore. It felt frankly bizarre to leave without dessert just because our server wasn't bothered to inform us when the kitchen closed. Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₹1,400–1,600
