If you feel hungry after visiting Aurobindo Gallery, have a meal at this restaurant. Among other Mughlai cuisune places to visit, Green Chick Chop can be one of the best. Come to this place to taste good seekh kebabs, chicken skewers and green chicken.
Most reviewers consider the staff knowledgeable. Many people say that the service is spectacular.
The outlet is conveniently at stone throw distance from the Green park metro station in the very popular DDA market of Grewn park/Yusuf sarai, so it's kinda hard to miss this outlet.
They sell frozen meat, starters, semi cooked and cooked snacks, as week as frozen gravy items. The quality is fabulous and the rates are unbelievably low.
They shut down the temporarily for renovation, and wait turned out to be an eternity. I waited diligently for it to open back for months. When it did I was pleasantly surprised; huge refrigerators, bigger store, fancy lights and displays! But my joy was short lived. I'm used to having most of the items at the Green Chick chop outlets itself along with my friends over gossip and long talks. They have done away with their instore microwave, hence any item can't be consumed at store itself, they being frozen or stored cold. You have to take items home to have them. I just didn't understand this renovation where they had microwave earlier and now they don't. I complained to the staff but they said it's not entirely franchise run model for this outlet and owner owns the store so everything in owner's hand. What's the use of all the fancy renovations when you aren't able to deliver on the basic thing which is required of you.
Hard feelings aside, Yusuf sarai outlet does what they do best; serve amazingly delicious non veg plus veg dishes and starters. The outlet is now quite spacious than earlier and spread well unlike most of the chain's other outlets which are relatively smaller. The place is very well maintained, neat and clean. Also it's very hygenic, both the food and the outlet in general.
The outlet serves delicious food in any form be it sandwiches to seekh kebabs to chicken wings. The gravies are available in both veg and non veg, and both are equally good in their own with plenty of varieties to choose from. The green chutney is amazing here which can be bought and taken along with the dishes, starters, or parathas to other several home made stuff to really complement and bring out the flavour.
They have recently introduced #Malai Seekh kebab which I found to be really good so do give it a try. Several other items - frozen stuff, boneless, gravy items, burgers, pizza etc are there and stocked in ample quantity, but as earlier mentioned you can't eat anything there itself and have to take home to warm it up and then consume it.
THE GOOD:
* #MALAI SEEKH KEBAB, #CHICKEN SATAY, #CHICKEN SANDWICH, #GREEN MINT SAUCE, #PERI PERI COCKTAIL WINGS, #SEEKH KEBAB (ALL VARIANTS).
* STAFF IS WELL TRAINED AND COURTEOUS. SERVICE IS SWIFT.
* PRICING IS EXTREMELY REASONABLE AND ON LESSER SIDE FOR THE QUANTITY AND QUALITY PROVIDED.
* THE PLACE LOOKS FANCY AFTER THE RECENT RENOVATION.
THE BAD:
* NO STOOLS OR CHAIRS AVAILABLE FOR SEATING.
* NO IN STORE MICROWAVE PRESENT, SO ANY OF THE SNACKS OR ITEMS CANT BE CONSUMED AT STORE AND YOU HAVE TO TAKE AWAY THE ITEMS HOME. DEFEATS THE PURPOSE ITSELF OF SEVERAL FAST FOOD AVAILABLE HERE.
A RECOMMENDED place (mostly for non veg lovers). If you like having snacks or fast food varieties at outlet itself then you can give this outlet a miss and go to some other place. You can search any Green Chick Chop outlet whichever is nearest to your locality and do visit. You gonna love it for sure.
Here are some "food for thought" pictures for you to ponder upon. ;)
