Enjoy nicely cooked roti that is offered at Gordhan Thal. The knowledgeable staff welcomes visitors all year round. If you want to experience nice service, you should visit this place. But the rating of this spot isn't high on Zomato.

Before beginning writing my review I must inform you that I have bifurcate my review in 2 sections i.e Management/Service and Food.
I am starting with management/service section. First of all Gordhan Thal in Surat is not at all managed by the real owners who owns Gordhan Thal in Ahmedabad, many of us having same impression. Gordhan Thal in Surat is a franchisee of Gordhan Thal and managed by some amateur person. Reason for writing owner is amateur person as I have some significant points to let u know which are as under.
1. I called them for reservation for table but I was informed on the phone that they don't reserve table on phone.
2. When I reached Gordhan Thal, they written my name in waiting list. As there were some function people they told me k it will take time to get table, so waiting time will be more.
3. At that time one group of people came and got seats with in 20 minutes so I went and ask them that I have came before those guys. An old person on the counter told k they have book table on phone. I was deny to book table via phone. Inspite of this thing happened I didn't react to it.
4. After 20-25 minutes I saw many people comin after me getting their table so I again went to counter and told the old person. Person on the counter told me k he has nothing to do with table allotment. You have to talk to manager for getting table. I told him k you are the one writing down waiting list so you are the one who should take care of allotting table in sequence OR atleast you should have told me to talk to manager for getting table.
It is totally unfair practice was going there.
5. I talked to manager k I have been waiting for more than 1 hour and people coming after me getting their table so he comforted me k you will get the next vacant table. Again one family came and talked to 1 manager out of 3 managers handling the restaurant and next vacant table was allotted to them. Now, I was furious and called managers and told them to allot a table right now and manager replied k "Sir, unko movie k liye late ho raha hai isliye unhe table allot kar diya".
6. I called the owner Mr. Mahendrabhai of Gordhan Thal, Ahmedabad and he talked to one of the manager and than I was given table.
One can imagine that one person who is waiting for more than 1 hours has not been given table but the one who has arrived 5 minutes back has been given table.
Old man on counter was busy in accounting bills and Payment, not interested and never aware of what's going on in the restaurant.
We were totally irritated and pissed off k we didn't even interested in food but have to eat as it was 3:20.
KINDLY AVOID THIS PLACE AND LOOK FOR SOME BETTER GUJARATI THALI OPTIONS. NOT GOING TO VISIT THIS PLACE AGAIN.
