Gomantak Saguti in Dombivli EastI had the misfortune of dining with my family at Gomantak Saguti, a so-called seafood specialty restaurant in Dombivli East, and it was an utterly pathetic experience that left us feeling cheated and disappointed. Charging ₹850 for a single pomfret thali is nothing short of daylight robbery, especially when market rates for similar dishes are significantly lower. This exorbitant pricing is a blatant exploitation of customers, and it didn’t stop there.To add insult to injury, they had the audacity to charge ₹40 for a tiny extra bowl of gravy—absolute nonsense for something that should be complimentary or nominally priced. When I questioned the inflated pomfret thali cost, the staff nonchalantly pointed to their menu, which was even more infuriating. The menu listed the pomfret thali with a ridiculous price range of ₹599 to ₹1,299! This absurdly wide range is clearly a manipulative tactic to confuse and overcharge customers, with no transparency or justification for the pricing.The food quality was mediocre at best, failing to justify the astronomical prices. The service was equally disappointing, with staff showing no regard for customer concerns. Gomantak Saguti seems designed to loot unsuspecting diners under the guise of being a "seafood specialty." I strongly advise avoiding this place unless you enjoy being overcharged for a subpar experience. Save your money and dine elsewhere!

Nothing authentic as such so called malvani restaurant ordered surmai thali gave literally watery gravy old fish fry tasted like excess lemon, I wonder how people have given 4 stars those who liked this kind of food need to raise their standard won't be visiting and recommending anyone else this outlet was better tasting at old place need to raise their standard for running restaurants let me tell you am an old customer fyi. Found this place on Zomato while I was craving to eat good Fish Thali in Dombivli. On the occasion of my birthday and me and my family visited Gomantak Sagoti.Do read till end, this is going to be a detailed review..In the very first look you'll feel it is small place with really cozy and soothing ambience with mesmerizing aromas of Fish Fry.Talking about the food, being Konkani I have travelled along the coast many times and had variety of fish thalis at different places starting from Mumbai - Alibaug to Amboli - Sawantwadi.But what we had here was really an amazing experience, the proper marination of fish with KOKAM or AAGUL those who are from coastal areas can relate with me in this.We ordered Pomfret Thali, Surmai Thali and Prawns Masala Thali..Pomfret Thali - One of the best I ever had till date in my entire life, you will get huge nicely masala marinated and crispy shallow fried pomfret which was so tender and juicy inside along with Fish Curry, Thecha, Crisp Malvani Vade, Basmati Rice and Sol kadi.(Highly Recommended)..Surmai Thali - This one was also best Surmao Thali's I ever had. The fish was tender, nicely marinated and shallow fried as well, you'll get a Nicely marinated shallow fried fish and tender, Malvani Wade, basmati rice, fish Curry, thecha, sol kadi (Highly Recommend)..Prawns Masala Thali - Trust me you should definitely try this one out here, a small portion of prawns masala, some marinated fried prawns, fish curry, thecha, basmati rice and sol kadi.This is a party pack of all the masalas where you can get the actually the authentic taste of coastal masalas which will make you to lick your fingers..Overall it was one of my favourite and best deal to have in Dombivli with such authentic flavours and why I mentioned everything in detailed like basmati rice, malvani vade because nobody provides you such things especially when you'll have ThaliHighly recommended place.Going to visit again.Thank you,Nomadikfoodies
