Simple place with good fish and decent food We had lunch at New Golden Spoon once during our Havelock trip. It was a decent experience overall — not amazing, but definitely not bad either. We tried: Banana Leaf Fish – the highlight of the meal, very well-cooked and flavorful Mix Veg – nicely done and tasted fresh Dal Tadka – just okay, a bit plain compared to the rest The service was nice — staff were polite and quick. The ambience felt a bit dull, possibly because it was midday and not very busy. It’s a simple setup, more functional than atmospheric. That said, if you're looking for a quick, fuss-free lunch with some good seafood, it's worth a visit. Had lobster and fish fry. They let you choose the item and then start cooking it. Medium lobster platter with French fries was rs. 2000/-. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Seafood, Lobster Indian Style, Grilled Fish with Banana Leaf

I ordered for a fish in butter garlic sauce , but got served fish, in a very spicy red curry. We asked them to replace our order ,which they did, they served the same fish by washing it with water,and cooking it in butter garlic style. The taste was horrible as it was washed and cooked twice(very bland, overcooked and watery). I can't look at sea food the same way now. It was a very disturbing experience. I havent had fish after that day in Golden spoon.
