Not a pleasant experience at all. Instead of offering us the details of the two options, that they had printed already, they gave confusing information at first to then gaslight our party into going with the more expensive package even though it did not meet our needs. The supervisor was rude and the service was terribly rushed, we didn't feel welcome; we felt judged for asking for an extra portion of what anyways was an unlimited meal given we had already paid for the most expensive entirely unlimited meal. Wouldn't recommend for a second visit. Food is good. Not tempting. They got a good number of sabjis (4 sabjis) including one panjabi sabji and kathod. Puri, rotali, poran puri and rotla - all were in the unlimited dish. Farshan was very tasty. When I visited, they served khandavi and mixed bhajiya (bateta puri, mirch bhajiya, methi gota, palak bhajiya). I added a pic of the menu for that day. The multiple sweet items were also there like mohan thal and srikhand. The staff was kind and helpful. No rush in serving like other restaurants. I recently visited Gokliyu Kathiyawadi Restaurant in Manjalpur, and overall, I had a satisfying dining experience. The restaurant serves authentic Kathiyawadi cuisine, and I was eager to try their offerings. The standout dishes for me were the Milk Cake, which was simply awesome, and the Pineapple Sheera, which was delicious. The Sabaji Chana Dal was very tasty, and the Mix Bhajiya was crispy and flavorful. The Chaas was refreshing, and the Kadi and Khichdi were also testy. However, some dishes like the Began Barta, Bataka Sak, and Paneer Saabji were just okay. They lacked a bit of flavor and texture. One area that requires improvement is the seating arrangement. The tables near the washroom were too crowded, making it uncomfortable for diners. Rearranging the seating to provide more space and comfort would greatly enhance the dining experience. Overall, Gokul Kathiyawadi Restaurant is a good option for those craving authentic Kathiyawadi cuisine. With a few tweaks to their seating arrangement, they could provide an even better experience for their customers. Recommended for: Kathiyawadi cuisine lovers, families, and large groups.
