At this restaurant, you can get a takeout. You may order perfectly cooked chilli beef and tasty biryani. The cute staff works hard, stays positive and makes this place wonderful. Gems Hotel in Tanur is a must-visit for those who love authentic Kerala food, especially the combination of Kerala porotta and beef fry. The porotta here is exceptional—flaky, soft, and perfectly layered, just how it should be. It's hands down one of the best porottas you'll find in the area. Pair it with their beef fry, and you're in for a treat. The beef is tender, well-spiced, and cooked to perfection, delivering a burst of traditional Kerala flavors. While the beef biryani has potential, it could use a bit of improvement in terms of flavor and balance. The rice and beef didn’t seem to come together as harmoniously as the other dishes did.The meat could have been little more tender and juicy as in the above mentioned beef fry, can solve by increasing the slow cook time That said, the porotta and beef fry more than make up for it, and I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for a solid, flavorful Kerala meal.
