Inspired by its legacy and the raving reviews of many in the city, we visited Galaxy Restaurant to indulge ourselves in gluttony but what we witnessed was a reputation that lies in shambles. Let's break down the entire review. Location – Situated right beside Green Kababish, finding it wasn't difficult. Though the place has a light board, it wasn't lit, but the big and bold characters GALAXY are hard to miss. Place – The hotel looked tidy. The kitchen looked pretty OK'aish from the outside. Since we didn't go inside, we can't say much about its cleanliness and hygiene. Ambiance – The ambiance is pretty antiquated that goes well with the clientele it serves. No frills and fancy equipment. Order – The server came in 1-2 mins and asked for the order. Since we went there only to try out the famed Mutton Biryani, they didn't take much time to bring the food to the table. Food Portion – Quite disappointing. With Hyderabad nearby, it breaks my heart to see the quantity most of the hotels in this city offer for the price they charge. Many hotels charge a lot more than their counterparts in Hyderabad but fail to deliver the taste and portion size. Taste – THE BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT. All that fame and reviews for this? With such competition from Green Kababish and Nawaz, I wonder how this restaurant is still operational. Very bland taste with poor rice quality. Bones formed the major portion of the biryani's so-called 'pieces.' It was quite a task to finish our meal with little meat and dry rice. Overall – AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Please don't give in to the hype, as it's all just fugazi. You are better eating a plate of rice and dal at home than eating this misnomered rice with bones.
