I went to Gajalee after many years. It wasn’t how it used to be - food was mediocre. With many malwani and other fish cuisine eateries, they are in serious competition. Almost all of my orders were asked Malvani style, and they turned to be horrible. 1) Stuffed Bombil should have a semolina cover for crispness and not any other batter dip. 2) Glad we took a smaller Pomfret. The stuffed pomfret that came was more tangy and no spice. It lacked any kind of marination. I had a better stuffed pomfret at this place earlier. But recent experience was not good. 3) Mhori (baby shark) was sweeter and less salt. Very disappointed with my recent experience. This restaurant seems to be living over its past magic.
