Budget friendly shop with food to full you up .decent experience . Dont go with high expectations. On a positive note, they serve food very fast which is good when you head there hungry.
Note : This is not a non veg restaurant as mentioned on zomato but a pure veg one and menu too is of the other outlet in chromepet...here the prices are a bit cheaper
GK veg restaurant in the thiruneermalai road in chromepet is a scaled down version of the familiar GK restaurant in MEPZ tambaram...Easily visible as its located right on the mainroad with some decent parking space and a ground nearby is used for car parking...This happens to be our spot for some quick snack after shopping at the reliance market nearby..
This is a pretty small outlet with seating capacity of not more than 25 odd ppl...and the looks are very similar to any economically priced veg restaurant in the city..The maintenance and cleaning are not that great..pretty decent if i may say so..the service is quick and prompt..and thats about it..nothing else is special to mention about...
Mostly i have had tiffen and snack items here...the dosas are really good like the onion and masala dosas...crispy and well made...the chutney and sambar served along with it are really good..the sambar vadai and bonda are crsipy and fresh always..
Economically priced and meal for 2 wont cost more than 200 odd rs...worth trying if you are looking for options nearby..but dont expect anything fancy...
