"Your most unhappy costumers are your greatest sourse of learning" - Bill Gates. I wish the owner of Sukanta, the restaurant we went to for dinner yesterday for my mom's bday, was learned enough to read and follow such quotes of great businessmen. No business owner needs an MBA to realise that the costumer is the most important person on his premises.. that the costumer does not need him but infact he needs the customer. After booking a table for 14, our group of 12 - which included some senior citizens and a pregnant lady - was ready to pay for the 2 people that we had promised but didnt bring according to the 'policies' (as if we had committed a great sin or broken some holy oath!). After waiting for a lot of time in the most uncomfortable area and weather conditions we were refused the Table just bcoz one person of our group was going to be a bit late! We should have walked out there and then for such inhospitable treatment but couldnt! Little did we know that the ill treatment had just begun! It literally seemed as if the owner had some weird grudge against us when he finally gave us the Table on a condition that the one person coming late would have to sit on a separate table! And when that person, my husband, came and sat with the group the owner refused to serve him! As if the quota of insult was not enough for us to tolerate.. we experienced the outrageous! When a waiter served my husband, not knowing about the condition the owner had put on us.. the owner literally ordered the waiter to take away the plate while my husband was eating !!! Such establishments ought to be boycotted from the industry.. becoz these so called businessmen fail to understand that only the costumers whom these people promise to cater to and end up disappointing.. have the power to take them to top or throw them down to bottom! I hope my post will serve its purpose of teaching these people that noone is serving them but they actually serve the society.. and the least that the society expects from them is "humanity"!
