The idly vada I had this morning was of very poor quality. I have been a resident of Davangere for 27 years and this is the worst idly vada I have ever had. The vada was not fried properly and seemed to be made mostly of rice flour instead of dal. The chutney was extremely watery and lacked any real flavor. The sambar was nothing more than water with some chili powder added. The idly was also very hard and difficult to chew. I placed my order at 7:50am, expecting to receive fresh food, but this was not the case.
