The duck roast was a pleasant surprise. While it was tasty, the texture was a bit unusual. It was tender, almost like chicken, but with a crispy duck skin. Edited after 1 year: Visited Five Star Thattukada again after a year, hoping for improvement after seeing some positive reviews, but unfortunately, nothing has changed. Previously rated 2 stars, and the experience remains the same. Went to have dosa, but it wasn’t available at 9 PM. Ordered nice pathiri instead, but later they informed it was also finished. With no other choice, had to settle for porotta and appam with chicken kondattam and an omelet. The porotta was again disappointing, and the chicken kondattam had a strong fish masala smell, making it unappetizing. Only the omelet and appam were decent. The only positive is the available parking and easy location near Oberon Mall. Really hope they improve the food quality. Old review - 2 stars Disappointing First Visit to 5 Star Thattukada, Padivattom. Not recommended. My first experience at 5 Star Thattukada was far from satisfactory. Despite the lack of a crowd, it took the staff five minutes to take my order. I opted for porotta and Beef Fry, but was served porotta and beef curry without much delay by another waiter. The porotta was the worst I've ever had, tasting like it had been cooked at least a day before. The beef curry pieces were equally disappointing. To make matters worse, only a few customers were there, and they were left waiting for extended periods without any attention from the staff. Overall, it was a bad experience.
