After reading some splendid reviews I thought of visiting Fish & Fries located in HSR Layout opposite NIFT. The ambiance is not something to talk about. There were not many people rather I would say just one table apart from ours was occupied and by the look on their faces I could make out that they were not quite liking what they were eating. A pleasant and enthusiastic boy named Navneet (who rather liked people calling him 'J') flitted around like a butterfly taking orders and suggesting what one should order from their menu. They had a variety of food displayed on their menu. 'J' suggested us to order for Potato Cheese Cocotte which I must say was something I could have skipped. The Cocotte had more of mash potatoes and less of cheese stuffing and it was quite bland. Apart from the bland Cocotte we also ordered Pasta Primavera Veg which was nice. We also placed order for Garlicky Grilled Fish served with 'herbed' rice. The so called 'Herbed' rice had no herbs in it and was quite dry and tasteless. The Grilled fishes had to be fished from the sauce. Overall please do not believe the reviews written here and go on your own risk.
