We had ordered the penne pasta and chicken crepe, but unfortunately, both dishes were made with stale, old chicken that tasted off and left us feeling nauseous and with an upset stomach. Despite the brand’s promise of serving fresh food, the quality was far from it. Shockingly, even the staff admitted that the chicken was spoiled, attributing it to a recent change in management. It’s unacceptable that a managerial shift could compromise food safety and customer health. Extremely disappointing experience. Had been meaning to try Farmhouse Kitchen & Bakery in Whitefield for a while—it's a charming-looking farm-style café that's been getting a lot of love online. The idea of a farm-to-table experience in the heart of the city sounded great, and we went in with pretty high expectations. Sadly, the experience turned out to be quite underwhelming. We ordered a decent spread: the Bonbon Strawberry, kombucha, cold coffee, a baguette sandwich, chicken schnitzel, and the Farmhouse mutton curry in a bun. While everything looked nice on the plate, the taste just didn’t match up. The schnitzel and mutton curry bun oddly tasted very similar—like they were made from the same base gravy or seasoning, which made the whole meal feel repetitive and uninspired. For a place that markets itself around fresh and wholesome flavors, it felt flat and forgettable. The drinks were average. The kombucha lacked that refreshing tang, and the cold coffee was just okay—not something you'd go back for. Overall, the menu sounds better than it tastes. That said, the ambiance is probably the best part. It’s a pretty spot with greenery, outdoor seating, and a calm vibe that’s nice for a slow weekend afternoon. But if you’re going expecting great food, you’re likely to be disappointed. For us, it felt like one of those places where the setting gets all the points but the food doesn’t deliver.
