As a Madurai local, it’s sad to see how Famous Jigarthanda fools tourists with that sugar-loaded mess. Most don’t even know what real Jigarthanda tastes like — they just see the crowd and assume it’s great. Funny part? They practically beg for 5-star reviews and throw in free ice cream like it’s some kind of bribe. Quality? Missing. Authentic taste? Long gone. Just hype and sweet syrup. Peeps please try the opposite shop instead ( Thank me later)

The shop is a bit cramped and the jiger thanda pricey, but the taste was good. It is like malai ice cream. All of us enjoyed it.
