5-Star Review for Famous Seafood Restaurant, Havelock Island Famous Seafood Restaurant truly lives up to its name! Located in the heart of Havelock (Swaraj Dweep), this is hands-down one of the best places for fresh Andaman seafood. The catch is brought in daily, and you can taste the ocean in every bite. We ordered the butter garlic lobster — sweet, succulent, and perfectly cooked with just the right amount of seasoning. The crab masala was exquisite: tender crab meat in a rich, buttery gravy that had us wiping the plate clean. The squid (calamari) was another highlight . The portions are generous, prices are very reasonable for the quality, and the service is warm and attentive. It's a simple, no-frills setting, but the food more than makes up for it — this is authentic island dining at its best. If you're in Havelock and love high-quality lobster, crab, and squid, this is a must-visit. Fresh, flavorful, and unforgettable! I strongly want you guys to trust me on this. This place is the best place for food in Andaman. I have eaten to a couple of more restaurants but I thought that the food which I am gonna get in Andaman is not going to taste good but this Famous Seafood Restaurant changed my mind and just to let you know that I am a pure vegetarian. So just think about it. The vegetarian food is this good then the non veg is going to be mind blowing. Talking about ths staff, they are super professional and sounds very polite and friendly. I recently visited Famous Seafood Restaurant in Havelock and had a mixed experience overall, which I’d rate around 3 stars. Starting with the positives — the food was genuinely good. Fresh seafood, well-cooked dishes, and a nice coastal vibe made the dining enjoyable. A special mention to Karan, the waiter, who was extremely attentive, polite, and made sure we were comfortable throughout. His service definitely stood out and added a lot to the experience. However, what really brought the experience down was the owner’s behavior. Being a Bengali myself, it was disappointing to notice that he didn’t bother to attend or even check on our table, while clearly giving more attention to North Indian guests. It felt a bit biased and honestly quite unprofessional. Hospitality should be equal for everyone, and this was a clear miss. Overall, great food and excellent service from Karan, but the management needs to improve their approach towards guests. A little basic courtesy and equal attention can make a big difference.
