I used to really like this place, but my opinion has dropped mainly due to one issue—portion size. A good dining experience needs both quality and quantity. I don’t care if you’re on Church Street or have a club vibe in the background—when I dine out, I expect the food to be worth it. Last year’s sushi was both tasty and generously portioned, so we ordered the same this time—sushi and a rice bowl—expecting similar servings. But we got just four medium-sized sushi pieces and a rice bowl barely enough for a light eater. That was a mood killer. While the food still tasted good, the portion sizes across the board were disappointing. I hope they take this feedback seriously, or I probably won’t be visiting again anytime soon. Flo at Church Street, Bengaluru is a good place to chill out on a nice sunny afternoon. Known for its parties, we were pleasantly surprised by how rich the taste of food that they have to offer. The ambiance is pretty average though, decent ventilation, and a kind staff. Spicy Chicken Celery dim sum were fresh and served with two fresh sauces. Khow Suey was surely the tastiest dish that we had at Flo. The curried soup with coconut milk, noodles, and fresh veggies was ultimate. The consistency was top notch and we would gladly come back just for this. Grilled chicken with thyme and garlic was good too. Herb marinated chicken with mushroom sauce, well made potato mash, but when it came to the veggies it felt like they weren’t that fresh. Something to work on I guess. Pistachio Tres Leches was average, it wasn’t as moist as we wanted it to be. When you do visit them during the 50% offer that Swiggy/Zomato provides do note that inflate their prices. Pre offer the steak is 539, during the offer period it’s 632. If this is the case please update your menu and say your prices have changed rather than having an old menu on the platforms. Price per person: ₹1,400–1,600 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2

Absolute worst restaurant experience ever at Flo Church Street. The food and drinks were overpriced, with average taste, and the staff was incredibly arrogant. 1. When we asked to avail of the 1+1 drink offer, the manager informed us that payments couldn't be made through third-party apps like Swiggy or Zomato, which we understood. However, we were charged an additional 20% on our drinks, which was never communicated at the time of ordering nor was it displayed on the QR menu. It only appeared on the final bill (photos attached). When confronted, the manager refused to acknowledge this unfair and non-transparent pricing. 2. According to a nationwide government regulation, restaurants are not allowed to levy a service charge. If a service charge is applied, it must be deducted upon request. However, the manager at Flo Church Street seemed to believe his restaurant was exempt from this rule. Despite agreeing to pay the extra 20% for drinks, initially we were told that we had to pay the service charge because we had availed the 1+1 offer, but there was no legitimate policy to back up this claim. After some discussion, the service charge was eventually deducted. I’m sharing this detailed review to warn others not to be misled by the restaurant’s external appearance and ambience. There are far better and more deserving places to spend your time and money. Price per person: ₹1,200–1,400 Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2
